Ingredients for this Anzac Biscuit recipe - makes 40 biscuits approx
100 grams of butter
Two tablespoons of golden syrup
One and 1/2 cups of rolled oats
One cup of white sugar
1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
Two tablespoons of boiling water
One and 3/4 cups of coconut shredded coarsley for texture
One cup of flour
One teaspoon of baking soda
Anzac Biscuits recipe cooking instructions : Makes 40 biscuits
First, warm your oven to 160°C. Mix the chopped walnuts, the sugar, the flour, the rolled oats and the grated coconut in a bowl.
Then melt the golden syrup and the butter together. Mix the baking soda together with the boiling water to dissolve the baking soda. Mix both the baking soda and butter mixtures together in a large bowl. Now add the flour mixture and combine.
Make teaspoons full of Anzac biscuit or cookie mixture into small balls. Place the balls of Anzac cookie mix onto a well greased oven tray or an oven tray lined with baking paper and press each Anzac cookie flat into a biscuit shape. Allow room for the Anzac biscuits to spread.
Bake your fresh home cooked Anzac biscuits for 25 – 30 minutes. Cool your Anzac Biscuits on a wire rack and store the Anzac cookies in an airtight container.
